Astronaut Adventure Experience - Aerobatic Biplane
Overview
You will be at the controls of this amazing machine as you simulate the launch sequence and inflict 5.0 Gs of Force onto yourself as you pull the aircraft to vertical. Upon reaching vertical you will begin your next maneuver of pushing to achieve 0 G (weightlessness) as you simulate “entering orbit.” We will fly up to 15 of these profiles during your 1 hour flight into simulated space.
You will also become familiar with some additional aerobatic maneuvers like looping, rolling, and spinning the aircraft to make sure that you are astronaut material for your next launch into outer space with NASA or whoever else needs space qualified persons to fly their machines into orbit. Location
- Camden (Sydney - New South Wales)
The flight will be conducted over Camden Airport not below 3,000 ft. Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Additional Info
- You must be over the age of 16, no taller than 6ft 8in, weigh no more than 90kgs. If you have high blood pressure or heart conditions this is not the ride for you. Make sure you wear warm and comfortable clothing no high heels or open shoes/thongs. All pockets must be completely empty!
- All aircraft are kept to the stringent safety requirements but down by CASA. The pilots have thousands of hours flying time and hold instructor ratings and teach aerobatics on a daily process.
- Numbers on the day: You will be one on one with your instructor/pilot.
- Session length: You start with a short brief as you are being strapped in on how the aircraft works and how to minipulate the controls. Flight time is 1 hour from prop start to prop stop during which you will have the opportunity to fly the aircraft. You will be contacted via email with your flight time.
Changes and Cancellations Policy
The cancellation policy for this activity is as follows:
- Cancellations notified 30 days or more prior to activity date » full refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified 8 days or more (but less than 30 days) prior to activity date » 50% refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified less than 8 days prior to activity date » no refund is given by activity supplier.
If you do not attend at the agreed date, time and place you may not be entitled to any refund by the activity supplier.
